UI/UX Design

Overview

Storex is an eCommerce website builder designed for small businesses. I was brought in to redesign their existing builder, which had strong functionality but a fragmented and inconsistent user experience.

Preview

The previous system suffered from UI inconsistency, poor workflow structure, performance friction, and scattered feature placement. Although the product had powerful capabilities, users felt overwhelmed and struggled to navigate efficiently.

My responsibility was to fully redesign the builder while preserving all existing functionalities. Instead of removing features, I focused on restructuring them.

Key contributions:
  • Rebuilt the information architecture for logical feature grouping

  • Simplified onboarding and store setup flow

  • Redesigned the builder interface with consistent UI patterns

  • Improved feature discoverability without increasing cognitive load

  • Structured dashboards to feel clean but functionally complete

  • Collaborated with developers to optimize implementation using existing system logic

The result is a more structured, scalable, and business-focused builder. It keeps all core capabilities intact but presents them in a simplified, non-overwhelming way, enabling faster onboarding and smoother store management for small business owners.

Storex strengthened my ability to redesign complex systems without breaking business logic — improving clarity while respecting technical constraints.
